Microsoft to fix 34 Vulnerabilities in Patch Tuesday for June 2010
Microsoft Patch Tuesday for June 2010 is going to be a large one as Microsoft has issued 10 bulletins for fixing 34 vulnerabilities affecting Windows, Internet explorer and Office.
According to Microsoft’s official blog post out of 10 bulletins issued 6 are issued for windows operating systems alone. Two for Microsoft office, One for both office and windows and one for internet explorer.Microsoft will also address 2 currently open vulnerabilities: in SharePoint (detailed in advisory KB983438) and an information leakage in Internet Explorer, explained in advisory KB980088
After July 13 of 2010, Microsoft will stop releasing security updates, hotfixes and other updates for Windows XP Service Pack 2. So users should upgrade their operating system either to windows 7 or download Windows Xp Service Pack 3.
